Owner, Chiropractor (she/her)

Dr. Stacey Cairns

Dr. Stacey Cairns attended the University of Western Ontario, where she earned an Honors Specialization Degree in Health Sciences. Dr. Stacey’s interest in alternative medicine, along with her passion for helping others led her to the New York Chiropractic College, where she earned her Doctorate of Chiropractic in 2018. While Dr. Stacey enjoyed her time in New York, she is happy to be back in the Kitchener area, practicing close to family and friends. Dr. Stacey is constantly furthering her education, and enjoys putting together educational talks, workshops and classes. Her aim is to educate her patients and the community on how to reach their true health potential. Dr. Stacey specializes in gentle, effective chiropractic techniques such as diversified adjustments, soft tissue and myofascial release techniques, and activator methods. Dr. Stacey has also completed her Neurofunctional Acupuncture certification from McMaster University.

Dr. Paige Hanmer

Dr. Paige Hanmer attended Queens University, where she earned a Bachelors in Sciences (Honours) in Kinesiology and completed the Athletic Therapy Mini Stream. Dr. Paige then continued her education at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, where she obtained her Doctor of Chiropractic along with a certification in Acupuncture. Dr. Paige’s vast experience with athletes has led her to serve as the Team Doctor for the Kitchener-Waterloo Rangers U22 Junior hockey team. Dr. Paige has lived in Waterloo for over 25 years and greatly enjoys giving back to the community that raised her. Dr. Paige provides evidence-based, patient-centered chiropractic care using tools such as the diversified chiropractic technique, instrument-assisted soft tissue therapy, myofascial release, exercise prescription, and acupuncture. Dr. Paige enjoys working with the geriatric, paediatric, athletic, and working populations.

Dr. Melanie Furtado

Dr. Melanie graduated from McMaster University with an Honours Bachelor of Science and received her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, graduating with Dean’s List and clinical honours.

She holds additional certification in: Active Release Technique (ART®), Selective Functional Movement Assessment (Level 1), Contemporary Medical Acupuncture from McMaster University, and is a certified GLA:D Canada Program Administrator.

Dr. Melanie utilizes a patient-centered and evidence-based approach to create individualized treatment plans for her patients. Her manual therapy techniques include joint mobilization & manipulation, soft tissue therapy, acupuncture, and functional rehabilitation to treat a variety of musculoskeletal conditions.

Dr. Melanie strives to motivate and assist her patients to improve their general health and make positive changes to their lifestyles in order to achieve personal goals and create long lasting effects of care.

Justine Precepa

Justine Precepa has been working as a massage therapist since January 2017. Justine’s main focus is to help patients return to their daily routine. Justine aims to find the root cause of soreness and dysfunction and correct it accordingly. Justine enjoys creating distinct treatment plans for each patient, ensuring that their particular concerns are being addressed. Justine believes in building an interactive relationship with her patients and urges them to ask questions about their treatment to remain an active part of recovery! Justine looks forward to working with the team at Quality Health and Performance, and encourages anyone looking for care to see what we have to offer!

Registered Massage Therapist (he/him)

Andreas Engel

Andreas Engel began his journey of massage therapy and wanting to help his community when he started his Bachelor of Kinesiology at Acadia University in Nova Scotia. While out east, Andreas had the opportunity to witness the benefits of massage therapy for children, and this is what drove him to complete his Massage Therapy Diploma from the Ontario College of Health and Technology in Stoney Creek. Andreas’ primary focus is to address the root cause of your pain and bring relief to symptoms through various massage techniques. Andreas loves working with children, families, and has additional training in pre and post-natal massage.

Carol Culhane

Carol Culhane’s career in professional bodywork began in 2001 as a shiatsu therapist (acupressure or Japanese massage). Carol deepened her knowledge and skills at Sutherland-Chan School of Massage Therapy in Toronto and began her career as an RMT in 2016.

Carol’s treatment experience includes neck and back pain, practical self-care, stress reduction, migraine/headache, pregnancy massage, and injury rehabilitation. This experience helps clients with day to day pains as well as more serious issues.

While Carol can engage in deeper tissue work, all treatments are based on your needs the day of your appointment with the understanding that some days a quiet relaxation massage is the right choice.

Registered Psychotherapist (she/her)

Shelley Atkinson

Shelley is a Registered Psychotherapist. She attended the University of Guelph where she completed a Bachelors of Applied Science in Human Nutrition (Honours). Her passion for holistic well-being, along with her interest in emotional healing and the mind-body-spirit connection led her to the Transformational Arts College of Spiritual and Holistic Training in Toronto where she attended and successfully completed the psychotherapy training program.

Her primary approach to therapy is holistic and client-centered, meeting each person where they are at. She provides a safe space for individuals to explore challenges and struggles that they may be facing in their personal or professional lives such as experiencing anxiety, stress, depression, low self-esteem, inner conflict, lack of clarity and vision, relationship issues, loss and difficulty in navigating feelings, among others. Shelley provides a supportive environment for inner discovery and healing, personal development and growth. Her aim is to empower individuals in being active players in their healing process and in bringing about healthy change.
